About the Journal
- "Avant" is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to current trends and methods in interdisciplinary studies with a focus on cognitive sciences, contemporary philosophy of science, methodology of interdisciplinary research, social studies of science, cognitive/cultural anthropology, and studies on art.
- Primarily, the journal provides reviews and review-like papers, balanced and insightful syntheses, analysis, hypotheses, comments, opinions, polemics, discussions, book reviews, and interviews. It presents the interactions of various disciplines, including philosophy, anthropology, neurobiology, psychology, robotics, sociology, linguistics, and others.
- "Avant" publishes mostly solicited papers. The journal is bilingual (primarily in English), published online in open access, with a frequency of three issues per year. Usually, two issues are fully international.
